John and the Giant Telephone – Jim Stoten
Printing the 4 process colours - yellow, magenta, blue and black. Where the inks overlap additional colours are created.
Jim: “I used an image of John Lennon from an old Beatles magazine as a collage start piece, and then improvised the rest of the scene using elements in the photograph as a start point. In the original photo, he is sitting at the mixing desk while recording Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, so I created a scene which is more in keeping with the sound of the album.”
