PIXIES ‘Stage' – Chris Bigg
A 3 colour screen print, using bespoke metallic silver and metallic copper inks, printed onto GF Smith’s Colorplan Natural 270gsm. A2 in size (420x594mm) and is in an edition of 100, signed by Chris.
Chris Bigg: ‘This logo was designed by me and pitched to Vaughan Oliver and the Pixies in 1991. Working with Vaughan he always invited ideas and suggestions for all the projects the studio was working on. We were making logos/ideas for projects on a regular basis, he created an energy and desire to experiment and produce work regularly even if that project was not on the schedule. All these ideas and sketches would go onto ‘The Studio Wall’ for consideration. This one never made the final cut. Last year the opportunity arose to re-imagine the CD-only release of PIXIES at the BBC as a triple 12” vinyl edition released on 4AD in January 2024. I took the opportunity to speak with Simon Larbalestier about out-take images from that period, this logo was used on one of the 3 inner sleeves.”
You can also find our previous collaboration with Chris, our print for the band Piroshka, here.
All prints are sent carefully wrapped and packed in a strong postal tube. We aim to despatch prints within 3 days of receiving your order.
